Tooth Filling
Tooth filling is the treatment of the tooth that is destroyed by adding various types of synthetic materials in the tooth, to replace the dentine that is missing. There are two main type of filling:
1. Amalgam. This is the original material which is made by the components of mercury, silver, copper, and lead. The advantage is cheap. The disadvantage is that it may darken the black teeth and, there may be mercury contaminated into the body.
2. Composite resin. The advantage is that the teeth’s color is similar to natural teeth. That is to make your teeth beautiful, not darken over time, and safe for your health. However, there is a disadvantage, which is the higher price than Amalgam.

Dental Scaling
Dental scaling involves removing plaque and tartar on the tooth caused by bacteria that has accumulated from food scraps, or protein stains that remain in the mouth until the plague builds up. When the plague accumulation continues, it turns into tartar.
Scaling helps maintain oral health; reduce yellow stains on teeth and bad breath caused by tartar that can lead to swollen gums, gingivitis, root canal inflammation, or periodontitis. It also helps increase confidence when smiling and help enhance our personality from yellow teeth caused by tartar or plaque.

Dental X-Rays
Dental X-rays use electromagnetic radiation to capture images of your mouth. It is the same type of radiation used in medical X-rays such as chest x-ray and abdomen x-ray. However, the total radiation exposure is less so it is highly safe and cause significantly fewer complications.
Images obtained from X-rays are black and white images with varying degrees of color intensity depending on the absorption of radiation. The bone will be seen in white color while the fat and other tissues that absorb less radiation appear grey. Therefore, the dentist can perform dental exam and the alveolar bone thoroughly, assess the risk of having tooth decay or other dental issues and able to plan the treatment suitably.
